By the 1970s, Sonny was known all over America for his lucrative heroin distribution. After serving a ten year jail sentence for his role in the Palmer Brother gang, Sonny saw a shift in the industry and traded his heroin distribution for cocaine. During his many trips to Miami for cheaper cocaine prices, Sonny hooked up with a Colombian connection. Which lead to Sonny becoming the largest cocaine supplier in Southwest Michigan.
