Richard Wershe was a teenage drug dealer during the 1980's that became widely known as White Boy Rick. At the age of 15, White Boy Rick was meeting with Detroit police and federal agents at local restaurants to sell them inside information on crooked cops, city officials, and big time drug dealers. During this time, White Boy Rick bacame one of the underworld's top prodigies associating with city officials like Mayor Coleman Young, Detroit Homicide Detective Gil Hill, and Sergeant James Harris. Drug enforcement officials ended the informant relationship where there was no more information that they needed from him. At the age of 17, Richard "White Boy Rick" Wershe was convicted of drug trafficking and has been serving a life term since 1988.
